Jimmy McGill has played a transformative role in shaping recovery and reentry efforts across Arkansas and beyond. He led the development of the Peers Achieving Collaborative Treatment (P.A.C.T.) initiative, placing certified recovery specialists in jails, courts, hospitals, and youth facilities. He also helped create Arkansas’s official Model of Peer Recovery, setting the standard for training across the state—personally overseeing the certification of more than 330 peer supporters during his time as Recovery Manager.

Jimmy’s leadership and lived experience earned him national recognition, including a seat on the SAMHSA Region 6 Peer Advisory Committee and a founding role as chair of the National Association of Reentry Professionals. His insight has even reached the halls of the White House, where he has advised policymakers on addiction and justice reform.
