Meet
Jimmy McGill
Jimmy McGill is a man who loves recovery and reentry—because he’s lived it. After spending time in prison and battling addiction, he found freedom through recovery and purpose through reentry advocacy. Today, he uses his story to help others find their way. Whether he's speaking to a room full of policymakers, mentoring someone newly released, or showing up for the recovery community, his mission is clear: to prove that people can change and that second chances matter. If you're looking for real-life insight on addiction recovery, successful reentry after incarceration, or rebuilding a life with purpose, Jimmy brings experience—not theory—and he's proud to use it to make a difference.
From Incarceration to Impact
Jimmy McGill believes in second chances—because he is one. When he returned home from prison, there was no roadmap waiting for him, so he built one himself. He knows firsthand what it’s like to face stigma, struggle for housing and employment, and fight for a seat at the table. That experience fuels his commitment to supporting individuals in recovery and reentry. Jimmy works with organizations, communities, and justice-involved individuals to create real, lasting pathways for change. Whether it’s through reentry education, peer recovery support, or criminal justice reform, he’s all in. He believes people don’t need to be punished forever—they need support, opportunity, and someone who believes in them. Jimmy has walked that road, and he’s dedicated to walking it with others.
